A private German-registered small airplane flying from Italy to Kosovo crashed Tuesday in Macedonia, killing all six passengers and crew.
Macedonian state prosecutor's office said it was investigating the cause of the crash but disclosed no other details. Four victims were Italian nationals and the other two were Kosovan, Macedonian reports said.
The Piper Pa 34-200 Seneca aircraft left from Trevizo in Italy and was bound for the Kosovo capital Pristina, with a fueling stop scheduled in Skopje, only 75 kilometres south of the destination, dpa reported. It disappeared from radar at 5:50 pm (1540 GMT) in the area of Veles, not far to the southeast from the Skopje airport. The wreckage was found a short time later.
