Syrian opposition leader

The Syrian opposition said that its next Turkish- backed military operation against Daesh might take several months, Syrian opposition leader Colonel Ahmed Othman said on Friday.

The Syrian opposition has no intentions to fight Kurdish groups that advanced toward the north within the framework of separate actions against Daesh, Othman said, warning that the opposition might be forced to do so.

Advancing 70 kilometers toward the west of Marae is a top priority for the opposition for the time being, Othman added.
