Tanzanian National Assembly Speaker Anne Makinda lauds the friendly relations and practical cooperations with China. Makinda made the remarks on Friday while meeting with visiting Li Wuwei, vice-chairman of the Chinese People\'s Political Consultative Conference National Committee, and his delegation in Dodoma, the new capital of Tanzania. She noted that Tanzania and China have developed profound and traditional friendship and China has provided a great deal of assistance to her country in various fields since Tanzania\'s independence in the early 1960s. As a close friend to China, Tanzania will continue to develop friendly relations and practical cooperations with China, Makinda said. She is expecting to further strengthen exchanges and cooperations with the youth commissioners of China\'s National People\'s Congress and the Chinese People\'s Political Consultative Conference National Committee as there are more youth members of parliament in the current Tanzanian National Assembly. Li said his visit to Tanzania was mainly aimed at promoting the exchanges and cooperations between the Chinese People\'s Political Consultative Conference National Committee and the Tanzanian National Assembly, as well as those between the Chinese and Tanzanian civil societies. On the same day, Tanzanian Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda also met with Li, highlighting the rapidly developing bilateral relations boosted by frequent, high-level exchanges of visit. He noted that Tanzania has learnt a lot of valuable experience in the field of economic buildup from China, adding that his country and people will not forget the great assistance and support from China. For his part, Li said generations of Chinese leaders have been attaching great importance to China-Tanzania ties with longstanding and profound friendship between the peoples of the two countries, terming the bilateral relations as the example of sincere and united cooperations among developing countries. China will continue to commit to promoting the all-orientation and multi-layer exchanges and cooperations between the two countries, Li noted. Arriving in Dar es Salaam on Thursday, Li is paying a visit to the East African nation at the invitation of Makinda.
