The Court of Cassation which is presided by Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al Khalifa decided to postpone an appeal by defendants sentenced to death for murdering two policemen in order to join it with other appeals submitted by defendants sentenced also to death following the issuance of the Royal order on receiving all appeals that were considered by the Court of the National Safety. Earlier, the Appeal Court of National Sefety has sentenced to death defendants accused of murdering two policemen Ali Abdulla Hassan Al Sankees and Abdulaziz Abdulredha Ibrahim Hussain, as well as issuing another verdict on imprisoning for life defendant Ali Isa Abdulla Kadhim Ali. The court also amended sentences of defendant Qassim Hassan Matar Ahmed and defendant Saeed Abduljaleel Saed from death sentence to imprisoning for life.
