One soldier was killed early Sunday during a military operation against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in southeastern Turkey. 
Soldiers came into close contact with PKK militants in the Eruh district of Siirt province; during clashes one soldier was killed. 
Four others were wounded, hospital sources said. The injured were taken to Siirt State Hospital as air-supported operations to capture the PKK militants continued.
