At least two people were wounded on Friday by a bomb in the northeast Indian state of Assam, police said. The blast took place in Lakhimpur district, about 320 km (200 miles) east of Assam’s main city Guwahati. The bomb was found and picked up by a scrap dealer, who was one of the wounded, a police official said. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
