The devastating typhoon Haiyan which laid waste to much of the central Philippines has claimed to-date 3633 victims.
The Philippine authorities announced the updated figures, expecting the death toll to rise amid continuing rescue efforts.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council announced the update the update death toll, pointing out that rescue operations were continuing.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council also announced that the number of injured stood at 12,487, while 1,179 people were reported missing.
