A Florida woman was hospitalized after being shot by a bullet that was left inside an oven, officials said. Aalaya Walker, 18, was making waffles Monday night at a friend\'s house and did not know Javarski \"JJ\" Sandy, 25, had hidden a magazine from his .45-caliber Glock 21 in the oven, the Tampa Bay (Fla.) Times reported. Walker told police she preheated the oven around 9 p.m. and heard an explosion a short time later. She said she picked fragments of at least one round from her chest and leg, then rode the bus to St. Anthony\'s Hospital, where she met with police officers. Police then went to Sandy\'s apartment and he confirmed the story. \"He stated that he does not have a temperature gauge on the oven so he estimates the temperature based on how far the knob is turned,\" an officer wrote in a report. \"I observed that the inside of the oven was damaged.\" It was unclear why Sandy kept the ammunition in his oven. He told police the gun itself was inside a drawer. Police said Walker\'s wounds were \"superficial\" and that no arrests were made.
