Israeli Arrested in Bomb Threats to Jewish Centers

An Israeli teenager was arrested on Thursday on charges that he made a number of bomb threats against Jewish community centers across the United States in recent weeks.    The citizen of both Israel and the U.S. was arrested in Israel, the F.B.I. said.Jewish centers across the country have reported more than 100 bomb threats since the beginning of the year. It raised fears of rising anti-Jewish sentiment in the U.S.
The 19-year old man has not yet been identified but reports indicated that his father was also arrested in Israel. The son allegedly made threats against Jewish centers in other countries as well. "Investigating hate crimes is a top priority for the F.B.I., and we will continue to work to make sure all races and religions feel safe in their communities and in their places of worship," a spokeswoman for the F.B.I. said.
On Feb. 28, President Trump condemned the bomb threats but also suggested that it could have been an "inside job" to make "someone else look bad." He was widely condemned for the remark suggesting that a Jewish attacker could be behind the threats.
