Sydney - Mona El Masry
Saudi Designer Youssef Akbar presented an exotic collection of clothes that cover all of the body with a lot of loose yarns and sequins during Australia Fashion Week. He surprised the audience with his 2018 collection, when one of the models appeared on the runway wearing hijab on her face made from sequins and thin yarns, while another model wore a similar golden piece but with a cut that reaches the thigh. The models appeared with no shoes, and for a feminine touch, he used yarns with different clothes such as, top pieces, trousers, jackets and the dress worn over a long-sleeved shirt.
This is not the first time for Akbar with bizarre clothes, as Chrissy Teigen wore on of his dresses at the American Music Awards. He said that, when he saw his design on Chrissy he was very happy knowing that, this dress was from his collection “Resort 2017”, and he could never thought of a better person to wear his designs more than Chrissy who is known for her charisma and confidence.
