Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas phoned on Saturday Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to offer condolences over the victims of a terrorist blast that targeted a Shiite mosque in eastern the kingdom.

During the call, Abbas stressed his country's full support for Saudi Arabia in its fight against terrorism in all its forms to uproot it.

He strongly condemned the "cowardly attack", which is rejected by all religions.

He offered condolences to the families of the victims and the Saudi people.
