Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit strongly condemned the terrorist attack which targeted Mar Girgis Church in Tanta killing and wounding many people.
In a statement, Aboul-Gheit stressed his full solidarity with the Egyptian government and people in their fight against such terrorist attacks and support for the efforts being exerted by the Egyptian authorities to bring to justice the perpetrators of these crimes. He urged further regional and international cooperation to counter terrorism.
