The Arab League Council on Thursday strongly condemned Daesh group and other terrorist groups that kill civilians, destroy archaeological and religious sites and spread instability and insecurity.
The council called for holding a special session for the councils of Arab interior and justice ministers to discuss activating strategies, conventions and decisions on the fight against terrorism and terrorist organizations.
In a draft resolution prepared by the council's 44th session, the council called on the Arab justice ministers to elaborate a convention to face the extremist religious thought.
The council reiterated full solidarity with Member States that have been hit by terrorist attacks.
