The Arab League condemned on Tuesday the Israeli unfair verdict against Palestinian child Ahmed Monasra who was handed down a 12-year-imprisonment sentence.

In a statement issued by Palestine department, the AL called for a firm stance to stop Israel's violations against the Palestinian people, pointing out that the child has been subjected to the most heinous kinds of beating and aggression.

The statement said that Israel has been violating international norms, resolutions and charters and called on the international community to shoulder responsibility towards the Israeli violation.

It pointed out that nearly 7,000 Palestinian prisoners including women, children and elderly are inside Israeli jails and that they come under all kinds of torture.
