Al Azhar condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on a hotel where judges supervising the parliamentary elections in Arish city of North Sinai stayed.

Al Azhar condoles with the Egyptian people and government for the victims of the terrorist attack, a statement said on Tuesday.

The statement also wished the injured a speedy recovery.

What happened in Arish is a cowardly terrorist attack meant to halt the democratic march and roadmap, the statement said.

Two judges, three policemen and a civilian were killed and 12 others injured in Arish hotel attack in North Sinai Tuesday morning.
