Al Azhar condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a security force in Helwan, killing eight policemen.

In a statement Sunday, Azhar asserted that these terrorist actions are against the tolerant teachings of Islam and all the divine religions.

Azhar renewed solidarity with all the state's institutions topped by the army and police to eradicate terror.

Azhar mourned the martyrs of the police, offering deep condolences to the their families and all Egyptians.
