The Egyptian Foreign Ministry has condemned the terrorist attack in the Sultanahmet district of Istanbul earlier Tuesday.

The attack left 10 people dead and 15 injured.

Egypt condoles with the Turkish people and families of victims of other countries, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.

He wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Abu Zeid reiterated Egypt's calls for unified world efforts to fight terrorism that aims to undermine peoples' security regardless of their ethnicity or religion.
