Egypt has deplored in the strongest terms Wednesday's terrorist twin attacks in Iran in which 13 people were killed and 43 others injured.
In a released statement on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry urged the international community to intensify efforts to fight terror and dry up sources of financing to terrorists.
Six attackers mounted simultaneous gun and suicide bomb assaults on the Parliament building in Tehran and the shrine of the republic's revolutionary founder Ayatollah Khomeini outside the capital.
Egypt also expressed its condolences to the families of the victims.
