Egypt embassy in Berlin

The Egyptian embassy here started receiving condolences Wednesday over the death of Egyptian prosecutor general Hesham Barakat who was killed in a bombing on his motorcade and the armed forces martyrs who were killed in a terrorist attack in Sinai.

Big numbers of Arab and foreign ambassadors, German officials and members of the Egyptian community flocked to the embassy to offer condolences.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier sent a cable of condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry on the death of Barakat.
