The Union of Egyptian Communities Abroad on Sunday denounced the terrorist blast that targeted the Boutroseya church in Abbasiya leaving scores dead and wounded.

Union Spokesman Salah Youssef said that black terrorism does not differentiate between Muslims and Christians. While terrorists targeted a mosque in Giza on Friday, they targeted today a church, he noted.

Terrorist conspiracies are targeting the Egyptian State at large, he added in statements to MENA.

The Union and all Egyptian communities abroad are supporting the Egyptian Armed Forces and Police in their war against terrorism which is seeking to shake the stability of Egypt, he added, expressing condolences to the families of the dead and wishing speedy recovery to the wounded.

Also, the Egyptian Community Union in France condemned the terrorist blast.

In a released statement, union chief Abdel Hamid Naqrish denounced the terrorist act which, he said, is targeting all Egypt.

Targeting places of worship and killing the innocent are criminal acts that contradict Islamic teachings, he said, adding that the union members are siding with the Egyptian Church.
