Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar condoled with Saudi Arabia over the death of former foreign minister Saud al Faisal.

In a statement, Mokhtar hailed the stances of Faisal in defending the Arab and Muslim nations.

On Thursday, Faisal - who was the world's longest-serving foreign minister - died at the age of 75.

He was the kingdom's foreign minister for 40 years, before retiring in April.
