The German Foreign Ministry condemned a terrorist attack on a checkpoint in Al Arish which killed and injured several policemen and civilians earlier on Monday.

In a statement, the German Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed Berlin's support for Egypt in its war against terror. 

The statement strongly denounced all forms of terrorism, targeting international peace and security.
