Head of the Evangelical Church mourns victims of doomed EgyptAir flight

Head of the Evangelical Church bishop Andrea Zaki Friday mourned the victims of the ill-fated EgyptAir flight, which crashed into the Mediterranean Sea early Thursday.

He extended deepest condolences to families of the victims for the loss of their loved ones.

Fifty-five passengers, including 30 Egyptians, 15 French and 10 other nationalities along with 10 crew members, were on board the Airbus A320.

Radar lost contact with the flight at 2:45 Cairo local time while it was at an altitude of 37,000 feet.

The flight took off from Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris on Wednesday 23:09 Paris local time then disappeared from radar after entering the Egyptian airspace.

Earlier in the day, the Egyptian Armed Forces announced that they had found some parts of the plane.

In a statement, the Armed Forces said that personal belongings of passengers and parts of the plane's wreckage had been found some 290 kilometers north of Alexandria city.
