International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr mourned on Sunday lawmaker Amira Refaat who was killed in a car accident.

Nasr said Refaat was an honorable example of Egyptian women and a rights defender.

She offered condolences to Refaat's family.

Refaat was travelling to Sharm El Sheikh to attend a ceremony on the 150th anniversary of the Egyptian parliament when her car overturned in El Tur city, leaving her dead
