Jordan has strongly condemned Israel's decision to build a new settlement in the occupied West Bank.
Israel's security cabinet on Thursday approved the building of the first new settlement in the occupied West Bank in two decades, even as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu negotiates with Washington on a possible curb of settlement activity.
The decision constitutes a stark violation to the Palestinian people's rights, especially their right to establish an independent Palestinian State, with Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital, said Jordanian government spokesman Mohammed Momani.
