Jordan condemns Mogadishu blasts

Jordan on Sunday condemned the bombings that occurred in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, killing and injuring hundreds of innocent civilians.

The Jordan News Agency quoted the State Minister for Media Affairs, Mohammad Momani, as describing the blasts as "a terror act that contravenes all ethical and humanitarian values".

Momani, who is also the government spokesperson, voiced the Jordanian government and people's condemnation of the heinous crime, and re-affirmed Jordan's support to the Somali government in countering terror organisations, sedition and extremism.

He also urged the international community to support the Somali government in its efforts to address terrorism that targets innocent people, offering condolences to the Somali government and the families of the victims and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
