The Malaysian government strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Istanbul on June 7, Bernama news agency reported.
"We express sympathy and condolences to the government and people of the Republic of Turkey and the families of victims of the attack," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
The Malaysian Embassy in Ankara will keep in touch with Turkish authorities and Malaysians, especially students in Istanbul, the statement added.
The ministry reminded Malaysians residing or visiting Istanbul to always put safety first and be wary of their surroundings, said the statement.
