Ministry: Egypt slams Pakistan's suicide blast

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zayed strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place in Lahore located in eastern Pakistan.

The blast left a large number of people dead and injured, mostly women and children.

In statements, Abu Zayed stressed the Egyptian stance calling for the unity of the international community to uproot this bad phenomenon that threatens the world's security and stability.

He further urged dealing with firmness with such extremist groups.

The Egyptian diplomat offered condolences for the families of the victims and hoped a speedy recovery for the wounded, noting that Egypt supports the Pakistani people in this ordeal.
