The American Federation of Ramallah, the largest Arab organization in the U.S., wholly condemns the violent killings at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that took place yesterday morning.

As an organization dedicated to justice, we believe this intentional and racist hate crime is a crime against all ethnic and minority groups. We stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters in fighting all forms of bigotry and hatred.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their families and we applaud the quick action of the first responders for their efforts in subduing the suspect before he could hurt others.

Finally, we call upon our government leaders to condemn the upsurge of racism and white nationalism trending in our country. We call for unity, tolerance and peace for all.
