The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the terrorist bomb attack that targeted Al-Rawdah mosque in Egypt's North Sinai, killing and injuring dozens of people,
.
OIC's Secretary-General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen expressed, in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), his shock over the heinous incident, describing the perpetrators of that "disgraceful terrorist" action against innocent worshipers as enemies of Islam, Egypt, and Egyptians.
Dr. Al-Othaimeen extended deepest condolences to Egypt and its people, as well as the vicitims’ families, wishing the wounded speedy recovery.
OIC chief also expressed confidence in the Egyptian authorities' ability to carry out all possible measures to bring to justice the criminals of that attack.
He also called for regional and international cooperation against terrorism and violent extremism to ensure a safer world, affirming OIC’s firm stance against all forms and manifestations of terrorism, and reiterating OIC's full solidarity with Egypt in its war on terror.
