OIC denounces Israel's decision to close Al Aqsa Mosque

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the Israeli decision to close Al Aqsa Mosque and ban prayers inside.

The decision, the first of its kind since 1969, is a crime and flagrant aggression against holy places as well as against the Palestinians' right and freedom to practice their religious rites, the Jeddah-based organization said in a Saturday statement.

Meanwhile, OIC Secretary General Youssef bin Ahmed al-Othaimeen urged the international community to take an urgent action in order to stop Israel's repeated aggression against Muslim and Christian holy places in Al Quds.
