King Salman ben Abdel Aziz sent on Sunday a cable of condolences to UAE President Khalifa ben Zayed al Nuhyyan over the death of the son of Dubai ruler.
Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, son of Dubai ruler, died of heart attack on Saturday at age of 34.
King Salman expressed his heartfelt condolences and solace to Sheikh Khalifa, praying Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in Paradise, and bestow patience and solace to Al Maktoum.
The Saudi monarch also sent similar cables to UAE Vice President and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohamed ben Rashed al Maktoum and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed ben Zayed al Nuhyyan.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed ben Nayef ben Abdel Aziz also cabled his condolences to the UAE president and Dubai ruler.
Sheikh Rashid was the first son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his senior wife, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. He was an avid sportsman and horse racing enthusiast. His younger brother Sheikh Hamdan is Dubai’s crown prince.
