The Supreme Council of the Press condemned the heinous crime against Egyptian Christians praying inside the Botroseya Church in Abbasseya earlier Sunday and expressed condolences to Pope Tawadros II, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and all Egyptians.

A statement released by the council expressed confidence that such crime will not prevent the Egyptian people, the Armed Forces and the police from continuing their war against terrorism
