The US Embassy in Jordan condemned the attack that took place on Sunday in Karak city, asserting solidarity with the government and the Jordanian people.

The embassy also offered condolences with the families of the victims, wishing speedy recovery for the injured.

Ten people were killed and 34 were wounded Sunday in an attack on policemen.

After firing at police officers at two locations, gunmen moved into an ancient castle popular with tourists in the city of Karak. The siege ended with terrorists being killed inside.
