Yemen condemned on Monday the terrorist attack that targeted a military base in Kashmir and left scores dead and wounded.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry reiterated the country's rejection of all forms of terrorism and violence, calling for rallying efforts to fight this serious phenomenon that jeopardizes peace and security all over the world.

It expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the blast victims.

Four "fedayeen" - or commando-style gunmen were confirmed killed after penetrating the base in Uri near the disputed line of control with Pakistan, leaving 17 soldiers dead.
