The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) has participated at the meeting of the International Photographic Council (IPC) held at the UN headquarters in New York.
The Secretary-General of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA), Ali bin Thalith, said during this participation, he held important meetings with the world's major photographic actors, including the National Geographic and International Centre of Photography (ICP), to discuss the issues related to the photography industry.
He expressed happiness at the HIPA's participation in the IPC meeting for the second time in a row.
HIPA officially joined the International Photographic Council (IPC) to become the first member association from the Middle East and the Arab world to join the IPC.
The International Photographic Council (IPC) is a multinational, non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO) of the United Nations, composed of representatives from every major sector of the photographic industry. Founded in 1974, IPC is dedicated to increasing worldwide recognition of photography as a universal means of communication.
