Egyptian high-profile singer Mohamed Al Helo said that he was keen to perform a number of songs performed by senior Arab singers during the party held in the framework of Arab Music Festival. He added that he was suffering from severe cold before singing during the party.
He praised the role of fans who attended the party, saying that they pushed him to do his best to meet their aspirations, saying that the artist gains his strength from the fans regardless of any other conditions. He added that he was tired when he performed the first song, while the warm greeting of the fans pushed him to resume singing and to choose difficult songs to perform to satisfy them.
He added, during an interview with “Arabs Today”, that he was aspiring to perform “Oh my love” with singer Said Hafez, while he passed away during the beginning of this year, adding that the fans were feeling happy when they were singing together. He praised his relation with Egyptian singer Ali Al Hagar, saying that he is his best friend.
He expressed his aspiration to participate with Al Hagar in a new work in the future, stressing his pleasure for participating with him in a number of parties in Egypt’s Opera. He praised the young singers, saying that there are a large number of promising voices. He stressed the need for supporting the young artists as soon as possible.
He criticized the new musician styles, including rap and Pop music, saying that such kinds of music do not express the Arab culture. He stressed the need for insisting on Arab music as a symbol of Arab history and culture. He praised the programs to discover the new talents, saying that they present good talents to the Arab world, expressing appreciation to the refereeing committees working with these programs.
