Professor of English literature Mona Al Prince stressed that she enjoys a good reputation despite the state of controversy that accompanied the dancing video she published on her social media account. She added that she has not committed any violations against honor, adding that her relations with her student are good.
She added, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, that she has not forced the students to buy her books and did not commit any sexual harassment, stressing that no one has the right to accuse her of committing violations. She refuted the calls for referring her to the investigations.
She added that she considers herself as a multi-talent woman, saying that she is a professor, writer, translator and dancer. She revealed that she received lessons of dancing in the U.S. She added those professors who call for her dismissal committed sexual violations against the students of the university.
She added, “My response to such calls is demanding the Egyptian authorities to open an investigation in the violations committed inside the university on the financial, educational and academic levels during the recent period.”
She stressed her keenness to live normally, saying that she waits the issuance of her new book. She expressed her love to the dance, saying that she does not feel shy towards her dancing video. She added that a number of students expressed their solidarity with her during the recent crisis, adding that she has not received any formal decisions over her dismissal yet.
