Gaza - Arabs Today
The Palestinian Minister of Education, Dr. Sabri Sidem, revealed an integrated plan of action presented at the cabinet table Tuesday during its historic meeting in the Gaza Strip after years of division.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the arrival of the national unity government in the Gaza Strip is an embodiment of the practical steps towards ending the division that has continued for years and the empowerment of Palestinian unity.
He stressed that the government will work to ensure the success of the reconciliation process and the commitment to reconstruction and hot files in the sector, stressing that it will follow up all files. He expressed his optimism that the Palestinians turn currently to unify themselves and their institutions and to end a large number of problems from which the Palestinian people suffer for years.
He stressed that that there are steps that can be felt by different people, including ending or reducing the electricity crisis, and the return of staff to their workplaces and administrative structure, and address the outstanding files of the staff of the Palestinian National Authority.
He stressed that the Palestinian people are eager for peace, stability, freedom and unity. He added that they are struggling to end the humanitarian and political crises and end the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip. He added that there is a siege from another side in the occupied West Bank behind roadblocks and in daily incursions and incessant arrests.
