Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development (MICAD) and President of Zayed University, has discussed with the Albanian Minister of State for Public Administration and Innovation, Milena Harito, ways to enhance cooperation and strengthen partnership channels between the UAE and Albania.
The parties also discussed exchanging views in supporting innovation and technical education policies.
These actions were agreed upon when Sheikha Lubna met with the Albanian minister and her delegation on the sidelines of the 3rd Government Summit, held in Dubai from February 9th to 11th.
During the meeting, Sheikha Lubna said innovation has become a prominent factor in the continuing development of the UAE, as per directives of the wise leadership, and plays a role in the country's aspirations for 2021 to develop the UAE into one of the best governments across the world.
She added that this creates real opportunities for cooperation, partnerships and exchanges of interests in many areas.
Sheikha Lubna welcomed enhancing the partnership and exchanges of experts with Albania in the field of innovation and working to improve efficiencies in government sectors, especially international development, educational and technological fields, as well as supporting joint projects between the two countries.
Harito expressed her country's appreciation of the UAE's local, regional and international achievements, in light of the directives of its wise leadership. She also expressed her desire to further enhance cooperation and partnership ties between the UAE and Albania.
