Google has refused to take down notice

Google has refused to take down notice London - Arabstoday Film studios Fox and Universal have asked search engine giant Google to remove messages asking copyrighted material be removed from the search engine. They argue that by making the requests available, Google are inadvertently directing people to the location of pirated material. Google receives over 20 million take down notices a month. In efforts to maintain transparency, they publish all requests for public viewing. Google has so far refused to take down the notices. Earlier this week it was revealed that the HBO TV series, Game of Thrones, broke piracy records, with over one million people downloading the show illegally. Research highlighted London residents as being the worst perpetrators.
