The London hospitality center set up for African countries participating in the Olympics closed down due to unpaid debts by the events firm. Laurent Bagnis, spokesman for French events firm Pixcom, said the company owes more than $150,000 to its suppliers, leading it to shut down the Africa Village it set up in Kensington Gardens, the BBC reported Friday. Africa Village had featured an exhibition area, a restaurant open to the public and a reception area for Olympic athletes and officials. Bagnis said about 80,000 people visited the attraction.
