CSKA Moscow closed back to within a point of Russian Premier League leaders Terek Grozny with a 2-0 win at home to Alania Vladikavkaz. A bad night for Alania was compounded in stoppage time when Deividas Semberas saw red for a second booking. Anzhi Makhachkala climbed to third with an entertaining 5-2 win over Krasnodar. The hosts raced into the lead with Oleg Shatov scoring inside 60 seconds, while Joao Carlos doubled the lead after five minutes. Samuel Eto'o made it three in the 14th minute before Marcio Abreu reduced the deficit. Mbark Boussoufa made it 4-1 after 46 minutes before Ognjen Vranjes again saw the visitors trim the lead to two, but Anzhi had the final say three minutes from full-time when Eto'o bagged his second. In the day's other game, Rostov ran out 1-0 winners over bottom side Dinamo Moscow thanks to Jan Holenda's 62nd-minute effort. FIFA
