Argentina’s Marcos Flores, former A-League player of the year, has signed a two-year deal with Melbourne Victory fresh from a stint with China’s Henan Jianye, the Australian club said on Wednesday. Flores, 26, was voted the league’s top player in 2010/11 after an impressive season as playmaker with Adelaide United. He only recently came off contract with China’s Super League. Victory coach Ange Postecoglou, who guided the Brisbane Roar to back-to-back titles and a record 36-game winning streak, said Flores would be an exciting addition as the side. “Marcos is the type of player you don’t really want to come up against as an opposition coach, so having him on board with us now will be really exciting, not only for the club, but for our fans also,” said Postecoglou.
