Britain\'s Freddie Evans will fight Ukraine\'s Taras Shelestyuk in Friday\'s Olympic welterweight semi-final after both their beaten last-eight opponents had their appeals rejected on Wednesday. Welshman Evans reached the last four with a count-back win after Tuesday\'s quarter-final against Canada\'s Custio Clayton ended in a 14-all draw, but the AIBA, the sport\'s governing body, later rejected the Canadian\'s appeal. Likewise, Shelestyuk also reached the semi-final on count-back against France\'s Alexis Vastine after a fight which finished 18-all. The Frenchman also had his appeal rejected. Evans is the fifth British boxer into the last four at the Olympics and boxing team captain Tom Stalker can make it six if he beats Mongolia\'s Munkh-Erdene Uranchimeg in Wednesday\'s light-welterweight quarter-final.
