Argentina\'s Marcos Flores, former A-League player of the year, has signed a two-year deal with Melbourne Victory fresh from a stint with China\'s Henan Jianye, the Australian club said Wednesday. Flores, 26, was voted the league\'s top player in 2010/11 after an impressive season with Adelaide United. He only recently came off contract with China\'s Super League. Victory coach Ange Postecoglou, who guided the Brisbane Roar to back-to-back titles and a record 36-game winning streak, said Flores would be an exciting addition as the side. \"Marcos [Flores] is the type of player you don\'t really want to come up against as an opposition coach, so having him on board with us now will be really exciting, not only for the club, but for our fans also,\" said Postecoglou. \"He\'s a quality player and I\'m confident he\'ll show us the type of form that saw him win the Johnny Warren Medal,\" the coach said, referring to the player-voted award for the best footballer in Australia\'s football league. Flores, who scored nine goals in 36 appearances during his season with Adelaide, said he was looking forward to joining the side. \"[Postecoglou] is a new coach who has won two championships and wants to play great football. He is bringing in some new players and new ideas and this is exciting for me.\" Brazil\'s Guilherme Finkler and Mauritius international Jonathan Bru have already signed for Victory and will make their debuts for the side in the coming season.
