Granada's forward Youssef El-Arabi

A hat-trick from Youssef El Arabi moved Granada out of the relegation zone at the bottom of La Liga with a 5-1 win over fellow strugglers Levante on Thursday.

El Arabi converted twice from the penalty spot and slammed home Granada's fifth in stoppage time to add to first-half goals from Isaac Success and Ruben Rochina as the Andalusians jumped a point clear of Sporting Gijon into 17th.

Levante face a huge task to avoid the drop as they remain rooted to the bottom and are now five points from safety with four games remaining.

Getafe also aided their chances of staying up with a first win in 14 La Liga games as they came from behind to win 2-1 at Real Sociedad to move within two points of safety.

Former Swansea City striker Alvaro Vasquez scored the winner from the penalty spot after Pablo Sarabia had cancelled out Carlos Vela's early opener for Sociedad.
