Cameroon have appointed Denis Lavagne as their permanent manager, handing him a one-year deal. The Frenchman has been doing the job since October and his agreement has been backdated to then. "Your main task is to qualify for the 2013 African Nations Cup and the World Cup in Brazil in 2014," the country`s sports minister, Adoum Garoua, told him. Lavagne was given the role after Spaniard Javier Clemente was sacked for failing to take the side to the CAF Africa Nations Cup.
