The United States national team will be without two key defenders for its exhibition contest against Mexico on Wednesday after their Mexican club declined to release them. Puebla refused to release any of its players, meaning that American defenders DaMarcus Beasley and Michael Orozco won't be allowed to suit up. US coach Jurgen Klinsmann said he would not replace them on the roster and would go with a roster of 20 players for the exhibition game in Phoenix, Arizona. "We are very disappointed in the decision by Puebla," said Klinsmann. "When the match was scheduled, it was with the spirit that both teams would have access to their domestic-based players for what is a very important game for those competing for spots in the World Cup." Puebla also did not release any Mexican players. Source: AFP
