Tom Slingsby of Australia won the Olympic gold medal Monday in the men\'s Laser class of sailing. The silver medal was won by Pavlos Kontides of Cyprus, the first Olympic medal in history for that nation. Rasmus Myrgren of Sweden took the bronze.
